How to Play Funguys Swarm
Funguys Swarm is a survivor roguelite: survive waves, level up, stack skills and passive cards, and fight the Fire King. Your Funguy auto-attacks - your job is movement, positioning and build choices.
Core Loop
Enter an arena → survive escalating waves → level up and pick skills → stack passive cards → fight the arena boss → return to Sanctuary to spend currency on permanent upgrades.
Each run is unique: skill cards and passive cards are offered randomly, so no two runs are the same.
Currencies
- Water Dew - common drop, funds Sanctuary upgrades
- Shroom - rarer drop, unlocks skills and cards
- Charged Potatoes - unlock bizarre arsenal pieces
- Amber Shards - spend at the Amberforge for permanent weapon upgrades

What are the six elements in Funguys Swarm?
Beast, Water, Sky, Night, Nature and Earth. Each element has its own skills, passive cards and strategy: Beast=damage, Water=healing, Sky=mobility, Night=casting, Nature=luck/summons, Earth=survivability.
What is the Sanctuary?
The home hub where you spend Water Dew and Shrooms on permanent upgrades. It also has the Weapon, Shroom, Mecha and Treeling shops, plus the Ambersmith NPC for weapon upgrades.
How do I unlock new characters?
Characters like Shroomba, Ersa and Nutcase are unlocked through progression. Rescue creatures to grow your Sanctuary and unlock more.
Is there multiplayer or co-op?
No - Funguys Swarm is single-player with Steam Cloud saves and family sharing.
